It can be very useful to integrate or connect art with science as it can make an activity more engaging and tangible for students. In addition to promoting the integration of students with special educational needs. The latter due to the wide range of activities with different levels of difficulty that may be available as seen in the activity of the weather station.
An example of this type of activity will be carried out with 12 year old students. They will have to program a board with sensors using blocks. The board should measure temperature, humidity and amount of light. This board will be a “living being” since they will have to design and make a plant on which the board will be placed. Depending for example on the level of light received, the plate must return the word oxygen or carbon dioxide to know if it is photosynthesizing or breathing. As in the one described in the article, art plays an important role.
