On 5th March 2024, during GDM 2024, Prof. Dr. Daniel Frischemeier (University of Münster) and Lisa Birk (Ph.D. student and research assistant, University of Münster) led a 90-minute teacher workshop titled “Teaching Data and Probabilities in Primary School – Analogue and Digital Options.”

The session introduced a variety of analogue and virtual tools designed to support data (science) education in primary classrooms. Teachers explored how digital resources can enhance statistical thinking while also considering hands-on, non-digital approaches to engage young learners.

Following the workshop, the ideas and materials presented were integrated into the DataScEd4CiEn toolkit, further enriching the project’s resources for professional development in data education.
