  • Participating in this training program has significantly reshaped my understanding of data-centered STEAM education as a powerful tool for civic engagement. I’ve learned how data science can illuminate social issues, fostering critical thinking and informed decision-making among students. One particularly interesting aspect was exploring real-world data projects that encourage students to address community challenges. This has prompted me to consider how to better integrate data analysis into my curriculum. However, I find the challenge of ensuring all students have access to the necessary technology and resources to be a significant hurdle. Overall, I’m excited about the potential of this approach to empower students as active citizens.
