in the Economy scenario we looked at countries in the world on a map and could see how many of them lived under the amount of money to be below the poverty line. This is good for children because they can see the patterns of the poor south and do on. I like that there is the visual of the globe but also I see how the data can be used and my mind is buzzing with ideas of how to bring in the other aspects of DTEM. Again, it shows how we live on one planet and some of us are poorer than others – this is important civic engagement for children
