  • I chose Scenario 2: “Design Thinking: Droughts! No?” because it deals with a real and current problem that students can easily relate to — climate change and responsible water use.

    Although I am a Physical Education teacher and do not have experience in data science, this module made me reflect on how the STEAM approach can enrich learning in any subject. The question that interested me most was: how are students civically engaged to ideate and create a solution to the social issue? I found it very valuable that students are encouraged to propose real solutions to relevant problems, as this fosters critical thinking, empathy, and civic responsibility.

    I also found it interesting how data can be used to support decisions and how technology helps analyze it — even though I would need more training to apply this confidently in my classroom.
