  • I have chosen scenario 2 because drought is a serious problem all around the world.
To effectively treat or mitigate the impacts of drought, it is crucial to focus on sustainable water management practices, efficient use of water in industries, and innovative applications in water treatment in agriculture. Each of these approaches would need to be tailored to the specific context and requirements of the area affected by drought.
To address drought through a STEAM methodology, we can design an interdisciplinary project that allows students to explore the problem from multiple perspectives:
    • Explore the hydrological cycle and how climate change affects rainfall.
    • Investigate local ecosystems impacted by drought.
    • Study soil moisture retention, desertification, or evaporation rates.
    • Use apps like NASA Earthdata or Global Forest Watch to monitor drought conditions.
    • Learn to read GIS maps or analyze satellite imagery of arid regions.
    • Use simulation platforms to model water usage.
    • Analyze real-world drought data (e.g., rainfall, reservoir levels).
    • Create graphs or models to show changes over time.
    • Calculate per capita water use, loss from evaporation, or efficiency of proposed solutions.
