Reflection

Participating in this program has significantly reshaped the way I perceive STEAM as a tool for active citizenship. Until recently, I considered it quite demanding for younger students, but the activities helped me realize that, with thoughtful design, it can be effectively implemented in primary education. I was particularly impressed by how everyday problems can “communicate” through numbers and how they can be expressed creatively through Art, giving students the opportunity to understand and articulate issues that matter to them. Despite my enthusiasm, I still feel some concern about implementing such STEAM projects in the classroom, mainly due to my limited familiarity and experience with certain technical aspects.
