Research has been at the heart of the DataScEd4CiEn project from its very beginning. Through close collaboration between universities, schools and teacher educators across Europe, the project has generated a growing body of scientific knowledge that advances the field of Data Science Education in STEAM for Civic Engagement and Social Justice.
Throughout the project, consortium members have shared their research through peer-reviewed journal articles, conference papers, posters, invited presentations and workshops. These publications document the development of the DataScEd4CiEn conceptual framework, the design of the Professional Development Programme, the implementation of interdisciplinary STEAM learning scenarios, and the project’s contribution to educational research and classroom innovation.
Together, these scientific outputs demonstrate the project’s commitment to evidence-based educational practice while supporting teachers, researchers and policy makers in integrating Data Science into STEAM education from the earlyΞ

Ongoing Research
The research initiated through DataScEd4CiEn continues beyond the lifetime of the project. Consortium members remain actively engaged in publishing new research, presenting findings at international conferences and further investigating innovative approaches to Data Science Education, teacher professional development and interdisciplinary STEAM learning.
