We are pleased to announce the publication of the 5th edition of the DataScEd4CiEn Newsletter!
This edition highlights the implementation of innovative STEAM educational scenarios developed and carried out by project partners across different European countries during the academic year 2025-2026. The newsletter showcases how Data Science education can be meaningfully integrated into school classrooms while promoting civic engagement, social justice, sustainability, and active citizenship.
Through interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning approaches, students explored real-world issues such as climate change, droughts, earthquakes, migration, poverty, gender equality in sports, and environmental protection. Using authentic datasets, digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence tools, and collaborative problem-solving activities, learners developed important skills in data analysis, critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
The newsletter presents inspiring examples of classroom implementations from partner countries, demonstrating the impact of the DataScEd4CiEn project on teachers, students, and educational communities across Europe.
