On September 27, 2024, all partners of the DataScEd4CiEn project gathered at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM). This day focused on project management, the development of educational frameworks, and the evaluation of project outcomes.
Key Sessions & Discussions
🔹 Project Management & Administration – The EUC team presented an overview of administrative requirements and the interim report process, ensuring smooth project execution.
🔹 Scientific Framework for Data Science Education – A session led by MIC explored the development of a structured approach to integrating data science into school education.
🔹 Teacher Professional Development Course – WWU introduced the DataScEd4CiEn Teacher Training Program, outlining strategies for enhancing educators’ competencies in data-driven learning.
🔹 STEAM Scenarios for Civic Engagement & Social Justice – Partners from LSBC & ES presented the STEAM-based learning activities, designed to help students engage with data science in real-world social issues.
🔹 DataScEd4CiEn Platform & Toolkits – EUC showcased the project’s digital tools and resources, aimed at supporting the implementation of data science education in schools.
🔹 Research & Evaluation – NKUA led discussions on research methodologies and evaluation processes to assess the project’s impact on education.
🔹 Project Quality Assurance & Evaluation Strategy – NKUA & EUC presented strategies for monitoring and improving the project’s outcomes, ensuring high-quality implementation.
🔹 Dissemination & Communication – ES shared plans for effectively communicating and promoting project results, enhancing engagement with educators and stakeholders.
🔹 Open Discussion & Second Meeting Review – The meeting concluded with a review of key takeaways and a discussion on the next steps for the project (ALL PARTNERS).
This transnational meeting was instrumental in aligning project goals and refining strategies for integrating data science education into STEAM learning.
